Dana is the Marketing Specialist and Event Coordinator for the Longmont EDP. She is responsible for the marketing of and communications from the organization, marketing Longmont as a whole, brand management, and coordination of all Longmont EDP events. Dana has an Associates Degree in Food Service and Culinary Arts and a diverse background in hospitality events and marketing. She worked for many years as a Private Dining Coordinator for the Capital Grille, a high-end steakhouse in downtown Denver, as well as a Marketing and Events Manager for TAG Restaurant in Denver. At both restaurants, she coordinated multiple business and personal functions for clients, wine or beer pairing dinners, charity events, and staff trainings. Following her desire to work with larger events, Dana worked as a Wedding Sales Manager at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. There, she was primarily responsible for sales and coordination of weddings and wedding-related events for 2 to 200 guests, menu coordination, and creation of marketing materials for the Weddings Department. Dana soon realized that her passion for wedding planning was best suited for a sole proprietorship, so she decided to start her own wedding planning business, DN Weddings. While she worked on setting up her business and gaining clients, she worked at Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy as a Logistics Coordinator, which brought her to Longmont and introduced her to yet another great oppportunity. While keeping her wedding planning business as a side gig, Dana accepted the position with the Longmont EDP in July, 2015. Dana currently lives in Estes Park, with plans to move to Alaska in August in 2017. In her free time, she loves cooking, baking, hiking, traveling, and doing anything that allows her creativity to run wild.
